This notice explains how Made with Love by Jodie ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit our website, send an enquiry or place an order. We are a small, home-based business in England, and we are the data controller for the information you give us.

What we collect
- Your details: your name, email address and/or phone number.
- Order details: the product, occasion, personalisation wording (such as names, dates or religious text), colours, the date you need it, and any photos or notes you send us.
- Delivery details: your postal address, if you choose delivery.
- Payment records: the amount paid and when. Payments are handled by the payment provider (such as PayPal, Stripe or SumUp), and we never see or store your full card details.
Personalisation wording can sometimes reveal your religion or culture. We use it only to make your order exactly as you asked.
How and why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, send your design proof, make and deliver your order. This is necessary to provide what you've asked for (contract, or steps before entering into a contract).
- To keep business and tax records. This is required by law (legal obligation).
- To deal with questions or problems with your order. This is in our legitimate interests in running our business.
We will never sell your information or send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
We only share what is needed with trusted services that help us run the business:
- Netlify: hosts this website and securely receives the enquiry form.
- Our email provider: to send and receive emails with you.
- Delivery companies (such as Royal Mail or Evri): your name and address, to deliver your order.
- Payment providers (such as PayPal, Stripe or SumUp): to take payment securely.
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK, for example in the USA. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become an order: deleted within 12 months.
- Orders: kept for 6 years after the end of the tax year, as required by HMRC.
- Photos you send for a design: deleted once your order is complete, unless you agree to let us share your finished item.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics that identify you.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to you or someone else
